Beginning Sewing
This class will teach the basics of sewing including using a pattern, picking fabric, laying out and cutting according to the pattern as well as how to follow the pattern to assemble the garment. Participants should have a basic knowledge of how to work a sewing machine, and the machine needs to be in good working order. If you do not own a machine, we will have one available for you to use. If you need to know the basics of your sewing machine, please sign up for the Learn the Machine class prior to taking this class.
Ann has years of experience as a seamstress and loves to bring this knowledge to the classroom. The hands-on experience plus Ann sharing many of her secrets means that participants take away more than just basic knowledge!
Supplies needed include: scissors, straight pins, and fabric marker
Fabric, pattern and thread will be purchased in the first class.
